Universal Mortuary Service in Washington, D.C. Conducts Test of Innovative Mortuary Balancing Bar
Universal Mortuary Service evaluates the Mortuary Balancing Bar™ in its Washington, D.C. prep-room environment.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Universal Mortuary Service recently conducted a hands-on evaluation of the Mortuary Balancing Bar™ (MBAR), a positioning tool developed by Fanprobe LLC to assist funeral service professionals during dressing, preparation, and positioning procedures.
During the evaluation, staff used the MBAR in their normal prep-room environment and provided positive feedback on its functionality and potential to improve workflow.
Team members noted the additional elevation and access provided by the MBAR and expressed interest in incorporating multiple units into their operations.
“Others in the industry would greatly benefit from having access to the Mortuary Balancing Bar.”
The MBAR is designed for use after embalming and is positioned beneath the lower lumbar area to create a stable fulcrum.
This positioning elevates the upper torso, shoulders, and head while providing approximately 6.5 inches of additional working clearance beneath the lower lumbar area.
The additional elevation can provide greater access during dressing, positioning, grooming, preparation, and other post-embalming procedures performed in the prep room.
The Universal Mortuary Service evaluation is part of Fanprobe's continued effort to place the MBAR in real-world funeral service environments and gather feedback directly from professionals working in the prep room.
